A modular system organizes and disintegrates in real time, oscillating between geometric order and organic drift. The grid, seemingly stable, behaves like an unstable organism: it reconfigures, slides, loses coherence, and recomposes itself without ever reaching a definitive equilibrium. Within each cell, cellular automata generate autonomous micro-structures that evolve according to local rules, producing patterns that emerge, deform, and collapse. Symmetry is continuously altered through processes of reflection, rotation, and distortion, while intermittent bursts temporarily amplify the system’s behavior, pushing it toward more chaotic states. The work explores the boundary between control and unpredictability: a logical construction that, in its very operation, incorporates the possibility of its own dissolution. What appears as structure is in fact a transient condition, a fragile equilibrium destined to transform.
